Centro Ottico Mottini offers its clients a consultancy and fitting service for contact lenses with different characteristics. The continuous developments in the field of contact lenses have allowed our staff to be always at the forefront on products and application techniques.
Moreover, since contact lenses are a quick-replacement product that needs proper maintenance, we provide a specific service customized to the needs of each user.
Choosing to correct your visual defect with a contact lens certainly has its advantages. Contact lenses offer a wider field of view than those imposed by a glasses frame; used for sports, contact lenses are more comfortable and safer than glasses and also optimally correct particular visual defects (astigmatism and multifocals).

Orthokeratology
Orthokeratology is a non-surgical practice through which it is possible to correct various visual defects through the planned fitting of night contact lens. The technique consists of using rigid gas-permeable lenses (RGP) with a particular shape, called “inverse geometry”, to modify the shape of the cornea for optical purposes. Night orthokeratology lenses are made of materials that are extremely permeable to oxygen, and are worn only while sleeping. Generally, orthokeratology is recommended for cases of low-to-medium myopia of less than 6 diopters, in hypermetropia up to 3 diopters and, in some cases, for astigmatism. This technique is recommended for those who do not wish to – or cannot – wear glasses or conventional contact lenses, and cannot – or do not want to – undergo refractive surgery.
